How I Use AI

Every illustration from Aurealis Creatief is 100% hand-drawn by me. Every illustration from one of my collections or a custom commission in your style is created without AI. I draw everything with passion and a love for design, from the first stroke of the pen to the very last tiny detail, straight from the heart. What you see on an art block, metal plate, or acrylic glass is something I've come up with, sketched, and painted myself. 

My inspiration comes from six winters in Finnish Lapland, Nordic nature and landscapes, and all sorts of things close to my heart.

The product photos in my shop (where you see my work displayed in an interior setting) are created using a custom tool that Koen developed for me. The tool automatically places my hand-drawn illustrations at the correct scale and in the right spot on the wall. Hours of Photoshop work have been replaced by automation. AI helps me with the business side of things: writing and translating bilingual texts, streamlining administrative tasks, and brainstorming decisions I’d otherwise have to make on my own. For me, it’s a tool, just like how you use Excel or a calendar.  It gives me something very valuable in return: time. A few months ago, I still had to block off my creative time in my calendar; otherwise, it just wouldn’t happen. Now I’m back at my drawing tablet much more often.

I spend that time on what really matters: sketching on my drawing tablet, personally reviewing every order, and making sure that the artwork that ends up on your wall is perfect down to the smallest detail.
